There is a youth movement taking over within Polish tennis, and its two rising stars are hoping to help their country advance out of Group E play in Sydney.
Hubert Hurkacz, Poland’s No. 1 singles player, took the ATP Tour by storm in 2018 by qualifying for the Next Gen ATP Finals, and he took another step forward in 2019 by cracking the Top 50. The team has a good mix of leadership, too, with former doubles World No. 1 Lukasz Kubot anchoring down one of the country’s doubles spots. Poland will face Argentina, Austria and Croatia in group action.
